Synopsis

In the Nightshade Dimension, Nightmaster, Nightshade, and Ragman are fighting for their lives against zombies who worship the Unbound.  After they take care of the zombies, they head for the city, the possible source of the strange happenings.  Elsewhere, Blue Devil continues to battle the Homo Magi in the first of his tasks when the Wild Hunt join the fray.  However, the Wild Hunt fights for Blue Devil.  Later, he learns the leader of the Wild Hunt is Rex the Wonder Hunt, whom Shadowpact had sent to the Wild Hunt as a spy.  Now, Rex is the leader of the Wild Hunt.  When Rex heard Blue Devil was fighting the Homo Magi, he led the Wild Hunt to help him.  Meanwhile, Nightmaster, Nightshade, and Ragman reach the city of Arcady, the spot where Nightmaster received his sword.

This was a decent issue.  Sturges has certainly grown into this series and is starting to make it his own; I like what he is doing right now.  Good stuff.

I love it when a plan comes together.  I specifically talk about Rex the Wonder Dog, who originally donned the collar to be come a member of the Wild Hunt in issue #11.  You know, I had completely forgotten about Rex and the plan to let him join the Wild Hunt to learn who was sending magic-types out to kill Shadowpact, so it was a pleasant surprise to see him return.  And it was a greater surprise when he came back to help Blue Devil.  I really think that Blue Devil may succeed at his various trials through the help of his friends, which will show others that despite his demon exterior, he is a good guy with many, many friends.
