Synopsis
When Repro arrives to tell the Thief that he killed Catwoman, the Thief kills Repro. Nearby, Catwoman watches. And takes pictures not only of the killing but also of the Thief disposing of the body. Later, Catwoman sneaks into the Thief’s hideout to take a look at Thief’s latest caper. She decides to disrupt his plans. Seeing her, the Thief tries to kill her, but she was waiting for him, setting up a trap to capture. She then hands him a set of pictures of the murder of Repro, which also sent to the police. She then knocks him unconscious and leaves him. When he returns to his home, it suddenly explodes, thanks to Catwoman. Moments later, the police arrive to arrest the Thief.

I liked this issue and thought it was great the manner in which Selina exacted her revenge, but I am not sure an entire issue should’ve been devoted to it. It just seems to drag along with very little going on other than Selina’s revenge. I think in another book, what happens here would be good stuff, but with the frantic and hectic pace Pfeifer has maintained on this book for the past couple of years, what happens here makes this issue seems pedestrian. This may be a byproduct of the fact that the book was canceled and has only two issues to, limiting Pfeifer’s ability to toss in complications or subplots. Pfeifer seems content to address a few wrongs and clean up unfinished plot lines. You can’t blame that choice, but the inability to add to the book is hurting the book. In particular, the Thief’s presence amounts to very little. I am willing to bet there was more planned for the Thief; I doubt Pfeifer would bring in a character who did all that he did to Selina and then end so quickly and efficiently. Granted, I liked the ending, but it happens too quickly and too easily. There was a lot of build-up to the Thief, none of which pays off here. It is almost as if Pfeifer is sweeping the character away in order to deal with other storylines. After all that Selina has gone through in the past couple of years, it seems a shame to end in such a quiet manner.
